Fisherman Watch, presented by "Fish Planet," offers a precise tool for forecasting fishing success, catering to fishermen, fishing enthusiasts, and sports anglers alike.

The program provides insights into how weather conditions and celestial movements, such as the sun and moon phases, impact fishing outcomes for various fish species, enabling users to identify optimal fishing hours.

Utilizing a sophisticated collection of mathematical fish behavior models known as MathFish 5.1(TM), the forecasts encompass over 300 fish species, including smallmouth bass, pike, perch, bream, carp, crucian carp, and more.

By connecting to the internet, the application on the user's mobile device fetches real-time weather data based on its location. It captures atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, wind speed, cloud cover, and their dynamics. Subsequently, the app computes sunrise and sunset times, moon phases, sun and moon culminations, high and low tide timings — particularly useful for coastal fishing spots.

Subsequently, the app correlates these factors with the seasonal-diurnal fish behavior model MathFish 5.1(TM) to predict how each parameter influences different fish species.

What sets this tool apart is its ability to consider these factors uniquely for each fish species. The model identifies the most auspicious times for catching each species by accurately incorporating biologically defined parameters — crucially factoring in effects like tides for coastal fishing versus lunar elevation for inland waters.

Users have the flexibility to customize their forecast settings by toggling factors like sun and moon influence, tides, weather conditions, or daily fish behaviors. This feature allows users to focus solely on seasonal fish behavior specific to their current location.

The seasonal model itself is location-dependent, enhanced by a detailed global climate zone map that accounts for topographical features and ocean currents.

For user convenience, the application enables users to select preferred fish species and organizes them by families in the app settings.
